ARE YOU WORTHY?
Thoughts about worthiness can arise in many areas of our lives. We often ask ourselves, both consciously and unconsciously, whether we are worthy of happiness, love, or success. In the end, it all comes down to one thing: our self-awareness and our willingness to claim our space in worthiness in this life. When we accept our sanctity, we no longer question whether we are worthy, because we know we are meant to be fulfilled in a particular purpose that no one but us can fulfill. There is no replacement for ourselves in our own lives. No other person has had the experiences we have had or can access the same resources, such as our relationships. Who else carries the same message to share with the world? We call this our own purpose. It may be large or small, but it is multilayered, with important actions taking place on an interpersonal level. This is the nature of the work each of us does in our world.
Small acts of kindness can share the stage with our own sacrifices, and only by accepting and honoring that can our sanctity be appreciated through acknowledging what we have done.
Ultimately, the judgment that we are all equal and completely worthy in our current lives is one that each of us must make. When we suffer from low self-esteem, it is because we have lost track of our own truth and are not allowing it to guide our actions in this world. When we see ourselves as part of something larger, serving the ultimate feeling of worthiness, that is completion. In the end, it is not about evaluating one’s self-worth as much as it is about accepting ourselves as we are, and taking the steps required to listen and respond in our lives with the people in our community.
